Information for Investigators

Investigators conducting research using humans as subjects are responsible for ensuring the safety and well being of all participants.  This is achieved, in part, by complying with all regulations and policies governing the use of human subjects in research.

 

Responsibilities of Investigators

As an investigator, your responsibilities include the following:

 

  1. Ensure all investigators and study personnel complete required Training
  2. Prior to beginning a study, submit an Application for the Use of Human Subjects in Research for review and approval.
  3. Prior to implementation, all changes to your study must be reviewed and approved via Amendment.
  4. Promptly report all Adverse Events.
  5. As required, submit a Continuing Review Application.
  6. At the conclusion of your study, file a Completion Report
  7. Become familiar with the Human Subjects' Protection Program's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
