General Information
To initiate the review process University researchers must submit an IBC registration form to the IBC Office located in the Office of the Vice President for Research, Research Compliance, Mail Stop 1186, Department of Environmental Health and Safety.
Where to Send Documents
Send the documents to the IBC Office located in the Office of the Vice President for Research, Research Compliance, Mail Stop 1186. Upon reviewing, the Committee may request modification of project procedures and may direct the BSO to inspect labs or other facilities used for the project. Work on the project may not be started until IBC approval is granted. A copy of the approved form will be sent to the principal investigator (PI).
When to Reapply
Projects are approved for a three year period. Updated reports must be submitted before the second and third year of the project in order to continue approval. The IBC will send the PI the update forms.
