Office of Research Compliance

The Office of Research Compliance, a unit of the Division of Research and Graduate Studies at Texas A&M University, is responsible for providing training and support to faculty, students and staff in regulatory requirements for scientific research.
Through three key committees and related programs and activities, the Office of Research Compliance develops, implements and oversees university policies related to the following areas:
- Research involving humans (the Institutional Review Board [IRB]);
- Research involving animals (the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee [IACUC]);
- Research involving hazardous materials, Select Agents or recombinant DNA (the Institutional Biosafety Committee [IBC]);
- Export Control
- Research with potential conflicts of interest; and
- Misconduct in science
